Acabo de Leer que Cuevas y Botero son el Márchamo de América Latina y Que sus obras son paralelas,solo esto quedo en mi memoria lo demás es paja y desvaríos lo dice por ahí, un periodista , que no ve muy profundamente o no sabe gran cosa de arte,creo que esta en lo cierto solo en una cosa; en que las obras son muy semejantes,ya que ambos pintan moustros y enfermos,solo que Botero dice que para el su pintura es un gran placer que le da un gran placer,que eso es la gran pintura,¡UN GRAN PLACER!por que ,el supone que lo que el hace es "gran pintura",y sugiera que es muy diferente de la obra de Cuevas,solo suguiere medrosamente por que no lo dice abiertamente?¿Botero le tiene miedo a Cuevas ?

En cuanto a su "estilo",pintar gordos es un recurso muy corriente,es como dejarse el pelo largo o la Barba para tener "personalidad",para ser reconocido para ser notado mediante este gastado truco.
Cuevitas a pesar de su infantilismo crónico,parece estar más conciente de que dibuja monstritos,el solo tubo la "genial" idea de dibujar al revés (mientras todos nos empeñamos en hacerlo bien)para hacerse notable, destacarse y así hacerse un nombre,en algunos migitorios y escusados de cantinas hay muchos dibujos muy semejantes a los de Cuevas,incluso mejores.Cuevas menos inconciente creo que se ubica entre los artistas llamados de protesta por los señores historiadores de arte.
A mí me parece menos malo Cuevas,pero desde luego ninguno me gusta para ser el sello de América,el Márchamo que nos da identidad y nombre por que eso es el arte verdad?el Márchamo de un gupo social o de un país en este caso hablamos de un Continente lo cual no es poca cosa.
